The
Nolde Museum
Seebüll dedicates the annual exhibition
«Emil Nolde - Fantasies», which runs
from March 1 to October 31, 2024, to a complex of works that has received
little attention to date: The artist spontaneously and unconsciously painted
curious creatures, funny fellows and ghostly creatures on canvas and paper
throughout all phases of his work. We
were commissioned to produce five motifs as magnets.
Built in 1846, the
Villa
Flora in Winterthur was the home of the collector couple Hedy and Arthur
Hahnloser-Bühler, who amassed a rich collection of paintings, drawings and
sculptures by Post-Impressionists, Nabis and Fauves, as well as works by
contemporary Swiss artists such as Ferdinand Hodler and Giovanni Giacometti.
Following extensive renovation, the Villa Flora has been open as the third exhibition venue of
Kunst
Museum Winterthur since March 2024. We were
commissioned to realize masterpieces from the collection as magnets and art
cards.
Motifs from Japanese
woodblock prints have long been part of our pop and consumer culture: views of
Mount Fuji, impressions of the cherry blossom festival and portraits of
legendary warriors shape our ideas of Japan. With «Made in Japan», the
Kunstmuseum Basel presents a cross-section of the 18th and 19th centuries, the
heyday of Japanese woodblock printing, with works from the collection of Dr.
Carl Mettler until 21 July, 2024. We were entrusted to produce three
magnets for the exhibition. Japanese art is prominently showcased in our publishing
program.
With
«James Ensor.
Maestro» the
BOZAR Museum in Brussels commemorates the 75th anniversary of the
death of the famous Belgian artist until June 23, 2024 with a
major show and the publication of an anthology of some 100 works highlighting
all facets of Ensor’s work as painter, gifted writer, music lover and composer.
We were commissioned to produce three magnets for the exhibition; various
motifs can be found in our programme.
With the major special exhibition
«1863 - PARIS - 1874: Revolution in Art», the
Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne traces the exciting path of French painting from the Salon to Impressionism and presents a fascinating panorama of artists, styles and motifs. The exhibition runs from March 15 to July 28, 2024. Numerous motifs by French impressionists can be found in our line-up.
Käthe Kollwitz is the most famous German artist of the 20th century and yet an exceptional phenomenon because she went her very own way: She devoted herself not to painting, but above all to printmaking and drawing – a decision as bold as determined – and found her way to an independent pictorial language distinguished by incisive immediacy. From March 30 until June 9, 2024 the
Städel Museum in Frankfurt exhibits Kollwitz' diversity, explosive power and modernity in a major exhibition. On the occasion of the exhibition, we were commissioned to publish four postcards.
With the exhibition «Apropos Hodler», the
Kunsthaus Zürich examines the contemporary relevance of Switzerland’s «national
artist» Ferdinand Hodler and counters one-sided interpretations with the rich
diversity of the painter’s formal, cultural and political impact. Works by over
30 contemporary artists are juxtaposed with some 50 paintings by the Swiss
icon; on display until June 30, 2024. Numerous motifs by Ferdinand Hodler are
represented in our publishing program.
Feared and loved – the artist Honoré Daumier (1808–1879) is one of France's greatest draftsmen. As a close observer and controversial contemporary, he made a name for himself in political Paris in the 19th century, especially with his caricatures, and thus became the conscience of an era characterized by social and political upheaval and profound change. The
Städel in Frankfurt is showing works by
Honoré Daumier from the Helwig Collection until May 12, 2024. We have produced three postcards.
